Tool Assembler

PERMANENT POSITION

Knutsford

£19,000-£23,000 depending on experience

Days – Monday to Friday

**Purpose of the role**
To conduct effectively tool assembly duties and bench fitting duties to the required specifications, quality and timescales, ensuring that relevant documentation is completed and passed to appropriate personnel

**Responsibilities**
1.Read and analyse component drawings for tapping and drilling
2.Finish machine components from machining centres
3.Identify any errors made in manufacture and liase with the Team Leader
4.Identify any shortages in the parts list and inform the Team Leader directly
5.Assemble tools using components and items identified on the parts list to
the specification/drawing
6.Take part in fault-finding in conjunction with the Team Leader and other relevant
departments
7.Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) check during and at the end of assembly and take
appropriate action where required
8.Carry out weekly 5S audits on area as requested by Team Leader
9.Assist customers and colleagues with problems that arise offering practical and
appropriate solutions.
10.Deal professionally, competently and courteously with customers, suppliers and
colleagues in verbal and written communications.
11.Clean and tidy work area on a daily basis
