This company is one of the leading employers in the local area and they operate on a global scale. They have invested significantly in their site in recent years and there is an excellent opportunity within the Production department for an experienced Production Shift Manager to join.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career and challenge themselves as you will be working with some complex systems and processes and play a key role in driving the business forward.

Role & Responsibilities:

*Working a continental shift pattern you will be required to manage and oversee the department whilst on shift
*Provide effective leadership of around 50-60 people within the department
*Ensure business critical metrics and standards are achieved – Safety, output, quality and cost
*Day to day co-ordination of the production team ensuring production targets are met and any issues are resolved in a timely manor
*Control and monitor overtime and manning on shift
*Drive a culture of Continuous improvement and be pro-active in developing the department and ensuring top performance

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Extensive Production Management experience
*Manufacturing experience is essential
*Strong man management and leadership skills/qualities
*Experience of working within a demanding production environment is critical

Benefits Package:

*£40,000 – £42,000 annual salary

*Rotating 12 hour shift pattern – days and nights
