£32,000-£34,500 + Overtime + Salary Increases Available After Training & Development
Monday-Friday Double Days Shift (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)

Our client is a leading food processing & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, junior engineer who is newly apprentice trained to join their team of multi-skilled shift engineers.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Looking for a multi-skilled electrically biased shift engineer who has just completed their
apprenticeship – someone who is looking to train, develop and progress their career
• Role will suit a confident character, who wants to share ideas and get stuck in with the team
• Provide front line engineering support to all food production, processing & packaging machinery
• Respond to breakdowns and effectively resolve faults with first time fixes
• Carry out routine maintenance of all site services, production & factory equipment
• Working on conveyors, food production lines, packaging machinery, PLC’s, labellers, weighers, metal detectors, control panels, grain handling systems, dryers, industrial silos, elevators
• Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure plant safety & reliability
• Set up production machinery for product changes, machine upgrades & modifications
• Project engineering – hands-on equipment continuous improvements & upgrades

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer but electrically biased
• Educated to a minimum City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Engineering
• Must have recently completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship
• Ideally have worked in an industrial food, FMCG or packaging manufacturing environment
• Willing to join a comprehensive further training & development program
• PLC – electrical fault finding – Siemens & Allen Bradley
• Essential to have experience of maintenance activities on production machinery & equipment, continuous improvements, lean manufacturing, electrical fault finding & installation
• Must have strong electrical installation & commissioning skills
• Strong experience with conveyors and food packaging machinery
• Work independently and sometimes unsupervised when on breakdowns after training
• Good communication skills – including written & verbal

Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift:- Monday-Friday Double Days – 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
After 6-12month Training Program will move to 3-Shift Pattern
• Salary:- £32,000-£34,500 + Overtime + Salary Increases After Training & Development Program
