IT Support Analyst – Emerson Green, Bristol – £20,00-£22,000 – Windows 10, Active Directory, O365, Networking, ServiceNow

I am currently seeking an junior 1st Line IT Support Engineer to work within an exciting and technically hands on environment based on the outskirts of Bristol. The role will be highly rewarding with weekend and evening work being part of the job.

The successful IT Support Engineer will provide 1st Line Support either face-to-face, email or phone to a network of customers, and will ensure that all problems are either solved or escalated to the senior members of the IT team. You will be required to be aware of and stick to the Service Level Agreement and ensure that you do all in your power to meet these service levels.

You will be responsible for logging tickets and aiming for first time fixes. You will provide support to bespoke software and hardware products as well as the Microsoft Office family of products. You will be expected to ensure you know how to operate the software and hardware and how it is used throughout the business. You will gain experience in a range of bespoke hardware and software in this environment and ensuing that all issues are either resolved or escalated.

Knowledge of some or all of the following technologies would be advantageous:

– Windows 10 support and troubleshooting experience
– support of Office365
– Printer and scanner fixes
– Application support
– Active Directory
– Basic Exchange queries
– LAN/WAN, TCP/IP
– 1st Line IT Support

This position will suit an junior first line engineer who is looking to for potentially there first job in IT. You may have just completed an apprenticeship in IT. You will ideally have a qualification in IT such as a BTEC Level 3, Comptia A+, or a Microsoft certification, and excellent communication and organisational skills are essential prerequisites of this role.
