They currently need to recruit an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for their highly skilled maintenance team.
Offering a very competitive package and ongoing training and development, this position would be ideal for Electrical Engineers from steel, chemical process or other high risk manufacturing environments who want to develop a career in a progressive, forward thinking company.
Role & Responsibilities:
o Technical expert in modern instrumentation
o Maintenance of all electrical and automation systems on site including pressure and temperature monitors, PLCs, SCADA / DCS systems and variable speed drives
o Install new systems
o Monitor and schedule maintenance programmes
o First line maintenance on PLCs
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
o HNC in Electrical engineering
o Preferably 5 years post apprenticeship experience
o Strong PLC experience (Allen Bradley preferable)
o Experience on Distributed Control Systems
o Working knowledge of Hazardous area instrumentation, maintenance and protection concepts
o £34,000 to £39,000 starting salary
o Day shifts (Call out required)
o Health care, life assurance and pension
