Our client is a leading British automotive vehicle manufacturer that is dedicated to producing vehicles that’s quality is recognised as second to none. They are looking for dynamic leader who is keen to shape the future of their Aftermarket Service strategy. A Head of UK Service, responsible for all UK vehicle service & repair workshops.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all Aftermarket Vehicle Workshops & Service, Repair & Parts Centres in the UK
• Across the UK responsible for 15 direct reports & 125 in-direct reports across multiple service sites
• A vital strategic position within the senior management team
• Responsible for leading, managing, influencing and controlling the operations across 7 UK sites
• Ensure the profitability of service departments surrounding vehicle repairs, retail/sales contract opportunities & technical information
• Ownership & delivery of a P&L budget, accountable for site overheads, sales budgets & warrant budgets
• Generation & implementation of policies that ensure the service departments exceed customers expectations & satisfaction
• Commercially aware of the vehicle marketplace and able to discuss with customers down to a hands-on technical level, meeting with blue-chip director level customers
• Maximise customer satisfaction, resolving product issues promptly, effectively & efficiently

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Commercially focused, financially astute, technically aware & highest regard of customer service
• Experience of managing & controlling a P&L budget – valuing around £50million ++
• Previously have worked within a vehicle service/repair function the handles of 2500 per year
• A Strong leader who aspirational to drive the business forward, communicating at levels & functions
• Ideally have previously worked in the heavy vehicle service market
• Operational experience and customer service/satisfaction focused
• Have the highest leadership, man-management, communication & interpersonal skills
• A thorough understanding technically of automotive repairs & operations with customer facing sector
• The ability to manage and direct a variety of different resources and information systems
• Flexible to travel throughout the UK & overseas to various sites & meet with customers
• A results driven individual to obtain the highest customer satisfaction
• Have first class influencing skills to drive teams in the right direction
• Ideally have an IOSH qualification and PSV Licence
• Able to plan activities, meet deadlines and deliver results
