Factory Manager

Our client is a leading livestock processing, production & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading UK standards.
Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced Factory Manager to come onboard and lead all factory, process, production & packaging operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

*Will be responsible for ensuring that the flow of production is maximised, technical / engineering aspects are maintained, and the factory is managed effectively & efficiently
*Leading a team of production supervisors, assistant factory managers and 100 indirect reports
*Review procedures in the factory to ensure efficient and streamlined process
*Work closely with the Director & Senior Management Team to deliver projects that drive forward growth of the company & profitability
*Work out labour and material resources needed, including supporting recruitment
*Identify training needs of both new & existing employees
*Ensure that production is cost effective, on time and meets the highest quality standards
*Develop and integrate new KPi systems and targets for factory and its employees
*Be responsible for budget control and procurement of the factory
*Ensure that health & safety guidelines and procedures are vigorously followed and maintained

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Must be an experienced senior manager / factory manager
*Essential to have worked in food manufacturing & processing
*Ideally have led up to 100 people day-to-day
*Must be happy with working within a livestock slaughter, processing, production & packaging environment
*Operational and commercial/financial acumen at management level
*Knowledge of production, process, packaging, engineering & operations
*Good interpersonal skills, a strong communicator and approachable persona
*Strong leadership skills & drive as a character
*Be able to work on a flexible basis due to the nature of the business
*Must have an eye for detail, process/continuous improvement approach to business
*Be a reliable, tolerant and determined to drive the factory forward
*Beneficial to have worked previously in a “trainer” capacity

Shifts & Benefits Package:

*Salary:- £60,000 – £70,000
*Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 20 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays
