Project Engineer (6 month Contract)

A leading manufacturing organisation currently has a vacancy for an experienced Projects Engineer to cover a 6 month (rolling) contract at their site in South Wales. The role will ensure that a new line of products is designed and manufactured in accordance with the high expectations of their blue chip customers.
Role & Responsibilities:
o Supporting the Programme Manager, taking responsibility for the delivery of a number of key customer projects.
o Liaising closely with Design, Test and Manufacturing to ensure projects run smoothly to customer handover.
o Strong focus on NPI, co-ordinating and monitoring product trials.
o Leading prototype activity including procurement of all tooling and components
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
o HNC/HND Mechanical qualification
o Strong project and organisational skills
o Must have experience in automotive manufacturing
o Experience of project delivery within a demanding environment
o Knowledge of injection mould manufacturing desirable
Benefits Package:
o C£20/ph depending on experience (possibly more for strong candidates)
o Possibility of extending contract for a further 6 months/ permanent
