A leading manufacturer in South Wales, this company has an excellent reputation within the market and they are renowned for innovation and product development. They are currently looking for an experienced engineer to identify cost saving opportunities through Cost Analysis and Value Engineering activities.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis and VE
• Work closely with sourcing teams, product & process engineers
• Visit global suppliers and analyse their manufacturing, materials and tooling costs
• Analyse components and products to establish cost drivers
• Produce cost models and benchmarks
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Strong hands-on experience of cost analysis and value engineering
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Component/Commodity experience
• Degree level or equivalent experience
