A leading manufacturer in South Wales, this company has an excellent reputation within the market and they are renowned for innovation and product development. They are currently looking for a talented manager to lead their small, dynamic Value Engineering department.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Lead a team designed to identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis and VE
• Provide management reports of activities, savings opportunities and progress
• Work closely with sourcing teams, product & process engineers
• Visit global suppliers and analyse their manufacturing, materials and tooling costs
• Analyse components and products to establish cost drivers
• Produce cost models and benchmarks
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Excellent hands-on experience of cost analysis and value engineering
• Strong management skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Component/Commodity experience
• Degree level or equivalent experience
